2010 Ford C-Max and Grand C-Max

Ford launches the sequel to the popular Ford C-Max with the same name but with a 7-seat addition and new engines.

Our rating: The new Ford C-Max and Grand C-Max with seven seats is appealing. The new strong and flexible engines will attract many buyers.

People Movers as the Ford C-Max is ideal for the family with both children and cargo. It's easy to get in and out - and with the large windows will the kids much better conditions in the backseat. They can look and be entertained by the world flying by - this also prevents the tendency to motion sickness.

The drivers seat is well arranged and well designed, but unfortunately a bit discrupted by chrome accents on the steering wheel. The old Ford C-Max was a traditional 5 seaters MPV, but the new is supplemented with a seven-person model which is longer and has sliding doors as backdoors to facilitate access to the two rearseats. Although the gap is relatively big and there is passage between the two big rear seats, you should still be agile to climb into - or be a flexible child.

The seat height on the 3rd row is more or less not usable for daily use - it should be considered as a
temporary solution when you need the extra space.

The compact version of Ford C-Max measures 438 cm - the 7 seater (Grand C-Max) is 452 cm making it 14 cm longer than the standard version. The standard Ford C-Max trunk is 432 litersand 439 liters in the larger Grand C-Max with five seats in use. When the two extra seats are up, there are only 92 liters back for luggage in the Grand C-Max.
